Alrighty, you must have known I would get around to a review of the Saucony Shadow 6000 Betta Pack Blue after posting reviews of the Coral and Yellow pairs.
This time around, we have more of a J-Pack feel with the black and blue uppers on these. Otherwise, the shoe is identical, the third in the trio to celebrate the Betta fish and the bright and varied colors found in that species. This is probably the most toned down colorway of them all. These kicks are so affordable, I think at the end of the day I wound up paying a little over $100 for all three colorways.
Just like the other pairs, these are a low-mid quality felt-like suede, mesh and some leather on the S logo on the side. Very simple construction but these have probably some of the least production errors I’ve seen on a pair of Sauconys. Usually the tradeoff on the GR quality Sauconys is bits of glue, separated midsoles, irregularly cut uppers, etc. Maybe I got lucky, but this pair seems pretty clean in that respect.
The Saucony Shadow 6000 Betta Pack Blue fits true to size, and for such a simple, old-school shoe, the comfort is insane! I’ve found 6000s to have a great looking silhouette on foot and I’ve found these mesh pairs to be very breathable! Overall this is a great classic-style runner to add to the collection, and possibly the most “rockable” of the three Betta pack colorways.
